West Boathouse Rejuvenation, Glasgow

CLS were appointed by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust as Business Planners for a design team led project to restore the dilapidated heritage landmark boathouse on Glasgow Green. The design proposal was to reconfigure the building to provide a shared clubhouse enabling better use of space for wider community benefit. Consultation secured wider support, an indication of occupancy and revenue generation to prepare a robust Business Plan. The research informed the final Design Brief and contributed to a successful bid by GBPT to HLF for capital costs and heritage activities planned to make best use of the restored boathouse.
