Watchmeal Crescent in Faifley is a testament to the fact that CLS don’t give up…if the funding isn’t there when we start a project, we will keep looking until we can make it a success.
This Inverclyde wide partnership initiative encompassing three of the area’s largest employers and service providers - River Clyde Homes, Inverclyde Community Development Trust (The Trust) and Inverclyde Council, together with In Work, meet the PCF priority of tackling poverty by developing the life-skills of young people and reducing the high incidences of unemployment and benefit dependency within the Inverclyde area.
A left over, unused piece of ground owned by West Highland Housing Association (WHHA) in Oban, has been transformed into a sheltered accessible community growing space for use by WHHA tenants. This was a community driven initiative which WHHA asked us to support and develop on their behalf.
Growing Together - Hillhead Community growing Project
Two community growing sites were established by Hillhead Housing Association as a result of CLS services to support interested local groups to develop the project.
