Transform your Patch in Bowling

Bowling and Milton Community Council are developing a project to improve Bowling swing park with the support of Denise Van Outen who is an enthusiast of ‘Natural Play’ resources for children. The idea is to replace outdated play equipment with natural play facilities and wooden equipment with the adjoining woodland made into our fairy glen with improved access including better footpaths and links to cycle track.

The project was recently successful in being flagshipped for the Transform Your Patch project, which is why Denise visited the Park on 5th July to encourage more votes.Denise van Outen and Streetlinks staff

Streetlinks contributed to a packed programme of activities on the day with climbing wall and face painting attracting many children and families, predominantly from Bowling, Milton and Old Kilpatrick. Among the organisations attending the event and fun activities for all the family were Strathleven Artizans, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Active Schools Co-ordinators orienteering, fairy making workshop, Partnership for Action Against Wildlife Crime, Your Radio, and BTCV biodiversity monitoring.
