Success for Taynuilt

Taynuilt Sports Pavilion

We were really pleased to hear that Taynuilt Sports Council were successful in their LEADER bid for funding to support the build of a new sports pavilion for the village. CLS had done a lot to help the group prepare this bid and itTaynuilt Village Centre is for a substantial sum. The offer of grant is conditional on the group being successful with their match funding bid to Sports Scotland which we also assisted them with and now everyone is on tenterhooks awaiting the outcome of this next application.

Taynuilt have a very good track record of community sports delivery and hope to establish themselves as a sports hub for the area offering coaching and come-and try-opportunities in a wide range of sports.

Taynuilt Pier

We were also delighted to be told earlier this month that we had been appointed to work with another group in the village – Taynuilt Community Council who require a feasibility study and business plan preparing for the potential development of the local, yet redundant pier.

Our design team will be exploring the potential for development associated with kayaking, sailing, fishing and diving as well as an end point for sight seers to the village with a space for parking, interpretation and a cuppa. All  the options will have to be considered within the sensitive and beautiful context of the coastal landscape and adjacent river estuary.
