Streetlinks at the Glasgow Show 2012

Streetlinks have attended The 2012 Glasgow Show providing three activity zones for children and anybody else who wanted to join in on the fun! Young people got a chance to try out our 14-foot rock climbing wall that we take out to community days all over Scotland, play football and other games in our mobile games arena and take part in street games sessions including giant jenga, space hopper races and obstacle course. Showcasing the wide rangeStreetlinks at Glasgow Show of activities available, Streetlinks’ zones were visited by hundreds of families who all got a chance to take part in fun sports activities and learn more about the services we provide for young people in more disadvantaged areas.

The Glasgow Show is a two day festival consisting of all sorts of summer activities taking place in the Glasgow Green. Over 60,000 people were expected to attend the show over the weekend with family activities being provided on both days. With live music, extreme sports, dance performances, street theatre, countryside activities, children’s funfair rides and a main arena filled with international acts, it was the place to be in Glasgow.

All Streetlinks’ mobile sports equipment is available for hire – great addition to any community day or a children’s party!
