Outdoor Fun for Auchinairn

Auchinairn After School Care (AASC) is leaping in to their new project idea with full enthusiasm and a smile, as they plan to make the most of the great outdoors. AASC provides fun educational activities for children from the age of four to 11 years with the aim of enhancing children’s overall development.  AASC is based within Auchinairn Community Education Centre; however, it is looking to take their activities out of doors on a more regular basis.

auchinairn asc logoTaking part in activities within green spaces or woodland areas gives children the opportunity to take part in recreational activities they would not otherwise have the chance to take part in, such as archery and building dens. Even the cold Scottish weather won’t stop children, staff and volunteers from going outside; as long as everyone wearing appropriate outdoor clothing, activities always go ahead.

AASC is looking forward to creating a fun summer programme, which will aim to give children a positive lasting experience that enhances learning, risk taking, team work, communication skills and overall wellbeing.
